JewishBANK was founded by Jefferey Lerner. One of the brightest souls you'll ever meet!
Jefferey was a returning student to Pierce, in 2019 when we helped him get his first Mezuza. It took longer than we hoped, because we had to order new ones in.
He offered to buy us 5 Mezuzahs to keep in stock for students who wanted a Mezuza but couldn't afford to pay for them at THAT time. The Mezuzah would be a freeloan from the JewishBANK and these people would take upon themselves to repay the loan. They would also be encouraged to donate a mezuza to the JewishBANK as well.
To date we have 24 Mezuzahs in JewishBANK!
We would like to expand the JewishBANK to include tefillin, travel/tuition costs for those willing to go to a fulltime seminary/yeshivah or for those willing to raise the bar in their Jewish observances like Kosher or Shabbat. Circumcisions and Jewish books are expenses that college students aren't neccesarily ready to fork out. Would you like to participate in this program as a sponsor or beneficiary?
